Room for co-sleeping or long bedtime routines: This full-size Montessori floor bed fits a standard full double mattress, giving you room to lie comfortably beside your child for stories, cuddles, and reassurance as they settle into their own bed.

Independence at Their Level: A low sleeping surface and accessible opening let your child practise getting in and out independently when they’re ready. This toddler floor bed supports freedom of movement while giving them a bed of their own.

Protective Rails for Peace of Mind: Side rails help reduce roll-offs while leaving an opening for your child to enter and exit. A reassuring border around their sleeping space, with access that supports Montessori independence.

Room to Grow: A full double bed gives your child space to stretch out through many stages of childhood. Its generous size means you won’t need to upgrade simply because they’ve outgrown a smaller toddler mattress.

Breathable Wood Slat Base: Wooden slats allow air to circulate beneath the mattress, helping reduce moisture buildup compared with a mattress placed directly on the floor.

Exceptional Quality, Made in Vancouver: Designed and manufactured in Vancouver, Canada, our wooden floor bed is made from thick, high-quality Maple or Birch plywood. Sturdy construction and carefully finished edges create a substantial piece built for everyday family life.

Thoughtful Safety Details: Rounded corners, smooth edges, and non-toxic finishes are chosen with your child in mind. Our plywood meets CARB Phase 2 and TSCA Title VI formaldehyde emission standards.

Simple Assembly: Easy-to-follow instructions make assembling your full-size floor bed straightforward, so you can get your child’s sleeping space ready with ease.

Recommended Age: 9 months and up

What really keeps a child safe in a floor bed is their ability to reliably control their head, neck, and body. A child needs to be able to turn their head easily, push away from obstacles, and intentionally reposition themselves if they press against a rail or surface.

Many babies develop these skills between 7 and 9 months, which is why we recommend 9 months and up, only if your child has clearly achieved these milestones.

Because this is a floor bed with the sleeping surface at ground level, the distance of any roll-off is minimal, a significant safety advantage over raised toddler beds.

Safety Guidelines:

• Wall distance: Place the bed less than 1.5 inches or at least 12 inches away from the wall to prevent your baby from becoming trapped.
• Room safety: Make sure the room is child-safe by securing furniture to the wall, covering electrical outlets, and keeping cords and hazardous items out of reach before letting your child sleep independently.
• Bedding: Follow your health care provider's requirements for safe sleeping. This may include removing pillows, duvets, or covers to avoid suffocation.
• Supervision: Never leave your child unattended.

We select our materials with safety as our first priority, followed by strength and natural beauty. All our plywood meets CARB Phase 2 and TSCA Title VI formaldehyde emission standards, reflecting our commitment to thoughtfully made furniture for your home.

3/4-inch PureBond® Maple Plywood

Our premium maple plywood is made using PureBond® formaldehyde-free adhesive technology. We are one of the few children’s furniture brands offering this type of wood. Its light tone and smooth, hand-varnished finish create a fresh, modern look. We lightly tint the edges for a clean, Scandinavian-inspired finish that complements the wood’s natural beauty.

3/4-inch Birch Plywood

Our birch plywood comes prefinished with a clear coating that highlights its natural grain. We carefully sand and hand-seal the edges to showcase the plywood’s distinctive layers. Its slightly warmer tone brings a welcoming feel to your space, while its low formaldehyde emissions meet CARB Phase 2 and TSCA Title VI standards.

White Melamine with a Plywood Core

The white components feature a durable melamine surface over a sturdy plywood core, with no particleboard. The clean white finish provides a neutral balance alongside the natural wood.

About CARB Phase 2 and TSCA Title VI

CARB Phase 2 is California’s standard limiting formaldehyde emissions from composite wood products, including hardwood plywood, particleboard, and MDF. TSCA Title VI establishes corresponding standards across the United States. These regulations include testing and certification requirements to help reduce formaldehyde emissions into indoor air.

When we say PureBond technology is “formaldehyde-free,” we’re describing our hardwood plywood panels, which are comprised of no added urea formaldehyde components and assembled with no-added urea-formaldehyde (UF) adhesives.
