Weight limit: 200lbs, however, if you are wondering if you can sit on the bed with your little one for a bedtime story, do not worry. This weight limit is based on what a single slat can take at once so if you are sitting or lying down you should be good to go.

The shelf's weight limit is 40 lbs.

• For safety reasons place the bed less than 1.5 inches or at least 12 inches away from the wall. The purpose of this is to prevent your baby from becoming trapped between the bed and the wall.
• Make sure the room is safe for the child to wander around. This includes covering outlets, removing cords, screw fragile furniture to the wall, etc.
• Always follow your health care provider's requirements for safe sleeping. This may include removing pillows, duvets or covers to avoid suffocation. 
• We recommend using bumpers or pads on the edges of the floor bed until your child becomes accustomed to sleeping in it or until they feel comfortable without them.
• Never leave your child unattended.

Recommended Age: 9 months old and up.

Age matters because what really keeps a child safe in an open bed is their ability to reliably control their head, neck, and body. A child needs to be able to turn their head easily, push away from obstacles, and intentionally reposition themselves if they press against a rail or surface.

Many babies develop these skills between 7–9 months, which is why we recommend 9 months and up, provided your child has clearly achieved these milestones.
